Expanding Student Access
Oregon students do more than earn a degree. They are the problem-solvers our world needs.
Together, we’ll expand student access to the transformational experiences we’re building here. And we’ll create a re-imagined model for career preparation that’s built for today.
Boost affordability and scholarships
The University of Oregon opens its doors wide for students from every background, many the first in their families to attend college. Our work is to turn their ambition into a degree, a career, and a chance to flourish and make a lasting impact.
Programs like PathwayOregon show what this commitment looks like in practice, pairing financial support with advising that helps students stay on track from their first year all the way through graduation.
This gives students the freedom to go all in. It means more time to learn in the lab or the studio and to pursue experiences that open new doors. It means less time wondering if they can afford to be here and more time making the most of everything Oregon has to offer.
Affordability is the starting point. Graduation is the promise. Invest in students today, and your impact will carry forward—shaping careers, families, and communities for generations.
I want to grow and think more broadly while I’m here. I’m learning how important it is to make connections—between people, between ideas, between different ways of thinking. Eventually, I want to bring those connections into the real world in a way that helps people.”
Theo Morganson
class of 2029 (math and philosophy)
Open the doors to an Oregon education to every young person with talent, dreams, and determination.
Lead in career preparation
Today’s Ducks will graduate into a job market that’s changing fast. The time to prepare them is now. They need practical experience, the ability to collaborate across disciplines, and structured career mentorship.
Oregon's Career Communities are transforming how students prepare for life after graduation by connecting their academic experiences with career exploration. Through one-on-one mentorship with alumni, students build relationships across industries and discover career paths they may never have considered. Dedicated advising and a reimagined curriculum help them connect their courses, interests, and experiences to a future that's uniquely their own.
This integrated approach will ensure every Duck graduates with more than a degree. They’ll leave Oregon as confident professionals with the real-world experience and network to lead in a rapidly changing world.
The University of Oregon has made me feel very supported and engaged in my career development, and I am so grateful for resources like my scholarship that make those opportunities possible.”

class of 2028 (business)
What we build together now will carry Oregon’s promise forward for generations.
Provide transformative experiences
A degree proves what a student knows. Experience demonstrates what they can do.
Across Oregon, Ducks are putting their knowledge into practice and making a difference in communities. They're advising cities on urban planning, developing greener building materials, gathering data to guide disaster response, and designing adaptive equipment for Special Olympics athletes. Through this work, students help address real-world challenges while developing practical skills, adaptability, and leadership abilities that will serve them throughout their lives.
By expanding experiential learning opportunities, we can help more Ducks make a meaningful impact while they're here and graduate with the confidence and experience to shape what's next.
My scholarship has given me the flexibility to make the most of my time at the UO through enriching activities like studying abroad, along with inspiring me to give back to my UO community through on-campus work and academic pursuits.”
